Megha
Chakraborty
On
Nepotism:
TV
star
Megha
Chakraborty,
who
entered
showbiz
with
&TV
show
Badii
Devrani
in
2015,
has
come
a
long
way
in
her
career.
While
she
rose
to
fame
after
essaying
the
lead
role
in
the
popular
Star
Plus
show
Krishna
Chali
London,
her
current
show
Imlie
2
made
her
a
household
name.
While
the
actress
is
getting
all
the
love
and
appreciation
for
her
performance
as
Imlie
in
the
hit
Star
Plus
show,
she
fells
that,
at
times,
it's
not
easy
to
get
good
work
in
the
industry.
Besides
your
talent,
there
are
other
superficial
factors
that
come
into
focus.
Sharing
her
views
about
the
existence
of
casting
couch
and
nepotism
in
showbiz,
the
actress
said,
"I've
never
personally
faced
a
casting
couch,
but
I
know
that
it
exists.
We've
seen
the
power
game
in
Bollywood,
with
lobbying
and
nepotism.
I'm
not
referring
to
the
television
industry.
I'm
solely
referring
to
the
Bollywood
industry.
As
a
result,
we
must
deal
with
it.
A
lot
of
people
are
finding
jobs,
and
even
in
the
television
industry,
a
few
of
them
are
getting
work
in
films
and
OTT,
but
we
still
have
to
strive.
There
are
performers
who
have
gotten
jobs
through
nepotism
but
have
proven
themselves
and
are
still
working
because
they
are
talented.
But
when
individuals
who
aren't
skilled
get
the
chance
to
work
with
amazing
directors
and
producers,
it
makes
us
feel
horrible
about
how
easily
they
acquire
that
opportunity
and
location
when
we
are
still
struggling."
She
adds
that
if
you
are
looking
for
work
on
OTT,
you
need
to
be
okay
with
bold
scenes.
"And
with
OTT,
the
material
is
all
bold
with
all
intimate
scenes
for
actresses,
thus
it
has
become
necessary
to
be
open
to
this
sort
of
stuff
in
order
to
get
a
job
in
OTT.
So,
if
we
receive
offers,
there's
at
least
one
bold
sequence,
a
kissing
moment,
or
an
intimate
scene,
and
I'm
not
comfortable
doing
that,
and
there
are
a
lot
of
people
like
me
who
are
deserving
performers
but
aren't
comfortable
performing
these
scenes,
so
we
miss
out.
As
a
result,
I
have
to
refuse
to
do
OTT
for
this
reason,
I
cannot
compromise
with
that.
So
that's
my
own
choice;
otherwise,
I
will
wait
for
that
opportunity
where
the
character
has
something
to
do.
I
hope
I
get
it," she
says.
