Indian Idol Judge Shreya Ghoshal Lauds Piyush Pawar; Says, 'You Capture Rafi Saab's Magic’

Indian Idol Judge Shreya Ghoshal Lauds Piyush Pawar

Indian Idol, the singing reality show, is a stage where emerging talents showcase their vocal prowess. This season boasts exceptional voices that stir deep emotions. With music maestro Shreya Ghoshal and Kumar Sanu as judges, the stakes are higher than ever. Accompanying them is Vishal Dadlani, completing the judging trio, scrutinizing vocal, range, and texture perfection.

But it was 25-year-old Piyush Pawar, from Balotra, Rajasthan who will impress the judges with his mellifluous rendition of Ehsan Tera Hoga Mujh Par, from the movie Junglee. Revealing more about his foray into music, he spoke about how his journey is deeply linked with his grandmother, who was also his first mentor, and it was she who introduced him to the magical world of music when he was just a child. Struggling through familial conflicts, he hasn't been in touch with her for more than three years now, which has left a void in his heart. Yet, in the face of adversity, his passion for music shines through, tugging at heartstrings and painting a vibrant picture of his love for this art form.

Moved by his impressive singing talent, Shreya Ghoshal says, "One thing I admire about you is how you preserve your voice ahead of the performance by speaking softly. This respect for your instrument, your voice, speaks volumes about your reverence for the art of singing. A lot of singers fail to capture the magic of Rafi Saab's musical brilliance, but you managed to ace it. At the same time, you also added a unique touch to your rendition, which is the hallmark of a true artist. I can't wait to hear more from you, and I believe your grandmother's blessings have played an integral role in your melodious singing."

Moved by Piyush Pawar's heartwarming performance, Judge Kumar Sanu expressed, "Your vocals and range are extraordinary. Your performance is a testament to the years of dedication you've poured into honing your singing prowess. This song, originally sung by the legendary Mohammed Rafi Saab, poses a significant challenge, yet you executed it flawlessly, doing complete justice to it. Your performance was nothing short of phenomenal."

Sanu Da will also be seen getting emotional hearing Piyush's story and he joins Piyush on stage to pay homage to Piyush's bond with his estranged grandmother.

But the question remains, will Piyush get a 'Golden Ticket' and continue his journey on the show?
