Neerja Punia, who created history by becoming the first transgender contestant to feature in MTV Roadies, got eliminated from the show last weekend. Her journey in the show might have ended but she is walking away with pride. She has earned respect and recognition. Filmibeat exclusively spoke with Neerja after her eviction and she spilled the beans in a no-holds-barred interview.

The Gurgaon-based model beamed with joy as she talked about her journey. Although she is disappointed with her eviction, she is proud that she has made a name for herself. "My journey was very exciting and amazing. I have been watching Roadies since my childhood and I lived my dream. I have seen the things I have experienced on TV. It was very exciting and exciting," she quipped.

NEERJA PUNIA ON FACING TROLLING AS A TRANSWOMAN

Punia also gave a tip to aspiring roadies, asking them to stay confident and present the best version before the mentors and gang leaders. "Don't just look at the other person's story. If you want to become a roadie, you have to be real. I have noticed that the people who don't speak and don't express their opinions, won't will be able to reach the final stage (personal interview)," she quipped.

Being a transwoman and a social media influencer, Neerja is very vocal about her thoughts. However, she has faced online trolling. How does she deal with negativity? Pat came her reply.

"Roadies has allowed a trans person to participate for the first time in the show. It only meant positivity for me but there was a lot of negativity that I wasn't prepared for. Negativity is something I've always known, I love my friends and family. And I think if you want to end someone's hatred, you have to give it so much love that the hatred in their hearts will be lessened," she said.

Gautam Gulati and Prince Narula's fight in Roadies has become the talk of the town. From taking nasty digs to engaging in a physical fight, the duo's argument has turned nasty in MTV Roadies' new season. When asked if their war of words is 'fake and scripted for the camera', Neerja said that their 'tashan and arguments' are real.

"Unke kaafi personal reasons hai, unki ladai personal level pe hai. Unki ladai sirf show ke liye nahi hai. Hum log dar gye the unki ladai dekhke. Prince sir thode se loud hojate hai. Main personally aise logo se dur rehti hu, jo log gaaliyan use karte hai. Gautam sir thode se chill rehte hai, acting karte hai. Prince sir trigger hojate hai," Neerja said, stating that one should not take things personally and not cross the line.

"I hope jaldi se issues resolve hojaye. Gang leader ke beech jo healthy arguments hone chahiye, wahi tak rehna chahiye," she concluded.
