Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai twist: Love or hate but you cannot debate that running a show successfully for 14 years is not a cakewalk. Despite multiple leaps, monotonous tracks and the separation of lead couple, YRKKH has managed to keep the viewers engaged with its drama-packed episodes.

YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI NEW LEADS

After months of speculations, it has been confirmed that Samridhi Shukla and Shehzada Dhami will play the new leads in YRKKH. Samridhii was last seen in a titular role in Saavi Ki Savaari while Shehzada is known for his role in Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia starrer Choti Sarrdaarni.

"The casting team and the creative team liked Samridhi's audition for Yeh Rishta. She suits the bill perfectly for the show and is not overexposed on television just like Shivangi Joshi and Pranali Rathod, when they were roped in for YRKKH. Instead of dragging the storyline further, the makers thought of introducing a leap and hence, Pranali-Harshad will make an exit from the serial. Samridhi's acting chops and her innocence were big factors in bagging her the meaty role in a show like YRKKH" a source exclusively told Filmibeat.

YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI NEW ENTRY: JAY SONI CO-STAR TO ENTER AFTER LEAP

Jay Soni's former co-star has been confirmed to make an entry in the serial after the leap track is introduced. We are talking about Shruti Rawat. The actress, who was last seen in Anandibaa Aur Emily, will make a comeback to Star Plus with YRKKH.

Shruti and Jay worked together in Bhag Bakool Bhag, which beamed on Colors channel. While Jay Soni is no longer a part of Yeh Rishta, Shruti will enter after the new leads are introduced. She will be seen as male lead's chachi (aunt) and the daughter-in-law of Anita Raj.

"Shruti Rawat will play an integral role in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai post its leap. Anita Raj will portray the grandmother of the male lead. Shruti Ulfat and Shruti Rawat will be the daughters-in-law of the house," a source told IWMBuzz.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai will also witness the entry of Shruti Ulfat, Shehzada Dhami, Preeti Amin and Anita Raj after the leap. The show airs every day at 9:30pm on Star Plus.

Pranali Rathod and Harshad Chopda will make an exit from the serial this month. While Abhimanyu will die, Akshara will be retained and Preeti will play the older Akshara in the show.
