Naagin 7 Lead: Ever since Ekta Kapoor dropped hints about Naagin season 7 on Bigg Boss 16, fans have been wondering who will play the lead role in the supernatural drama on Colors channel. Speculations about the show have been rife since a long time, especially after Tejasswi Prakash starrer Naagin 6 went off air in July 2023.

Gossip mills suggested that Ankita Lokhande would play the lead in Naagin 7. The news spread like wildfire when the Pavitra Rishta actress was locked inside the BB 17 house.

"Ankita Lokhande is in contention to play the lead role in Naagin 7. There's a strong buzz that she will take over the charge from Tejasswi Prakash for the upcoming season. Things are in the pipeline but yes, she is in consideration. Considering her popularity and acting prowess, she might be the perfect fit for the role of a shape-shifting serpent. Colors knows her popularity and we wouldn't be surprised if she signs the dotted lines for the project soon after Bigg Boss 17 gets over," the sources suggested.

Ankita Lokhande has confirmed that she is not doing the show. We have now learned that Priyanka Chahar Choudhary is also not featuring in Naagin season 7. So, who will replace Tejasswi Prakash as the new nagin on Colors channel?

Our khabri quipped, "Naagin 7 is not coming anytime soon on Colors channel. The lead has not been finalised and the story is also not ready. The channel is pleased with the performance of its fiction shows on weekends and if ever, Naagin season 7 comes, it will be launched post IPL 2024. Leading actresses have said no to the show due to their busy schedules. Priyanka Chahar Choudhary is busy with her new web series and a couple of projects while Ankita Lokhande is expected to take a break after her hectic journey in Bigg Boss 17."

"Naagin 7 has been delayed and will only get launched after the culmination of Indian Premiere League 2024. The show might get delayed futher as the Colors would love to introduce the weekend drama during the festive season in the last quarter of 2024," the source added.
