Diya Aur Baati Hum, December 26th episode written update: Suraj and Sandhya spend the last moments together. He consoles the disheartened Sandhya and gives her the strength to go for training. Sandhya asks Suraj to spend the complete night awak to cherish their last moments. He praises her idea. They tease each other lovingly by making masks.

Suraj makes Jalebi and Sandhya too joins in. The enjoy eating Jalebi. Thereafter they go outside. Suddenly they slip and fall and laugh watching each other. They drink tea in early morning hours and go back home.

Sandhya gets ready to leave and prays in front of the god to take care of her family. They all come and express their pain on departure of Sandhya. They all praise Sandhya's hardwork and determination for becoming a police officer. Chaturi sees Sandhya hiding from the kitchen and she calls her out. She also says that everyone would be waiting for her and hugs her.

Sandhya consoles her and Baba Sa bids her happily. Bhabho asks Meena to pack the laddoos for Sandhya. Bhabho says that she has made laddoos for Imli and Meena as well. Anuj and Vikram ask Sandhya to not to worry about home and undergo her training with all her heart. Chhavi cries and complains that who would she talk to after her departure. She consoles her and Baba Sa consoles everyone.

Even Dai Sa gives her blessings to Sandhya and she leaves with Suraj, Bhabho and Baba Sa. They are sitting in train. Baba Sa fights with the Chanewale for not giving chane in Rs. 2. He leaves and Sandhya gives him Pudina Namkeen. He says and praises them both.
