Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 2, 3rd January episode update written: Niranjan asks Anjali whether she invited Avdhoot and family. Anjali tells that she didn't expect people would ask questions after Avdhoot got arrested. Niranjan tells Anjali how she took a decision on her own. He tells her that she is making too many mistakes and asks her to close the door. Just before closing the door, Sojal tells Anjali that guests have started coming.

Sojal's mother is boasting. Abhay comes and gives a bouquet to her. Abhay tells that he has planned something and to enjoy the fun. Varad scolds Sojal to feed Kavya and handle the guests. Sojal supports Abhay's plan. Anjali comes with a swollen face and Sojal asks her about it. She makes an excuse that she hit against the door and Abhay smiles hearing this.

Kalindi and Avdhoot tell Aastha to call up home to tell that she is here. But she shrugs it off telling Shlok is aware. On them insisting, she tries to call, but no one receives it. The guests are praising Niranjan. Shlok comes and wishes Niranjan. Niranjan asks about Aastha and Anjali joins them too. He says that she has gone home. Niranjan is shocked and the guests start enquiring about Aastha's absence. He covers up somehow as the gossip mills are on. Kaka thinks as to why Aastha hasn't come. Niranjan signals Anjali to go and get Aastha. Aastha and family are having dinner and seeing this, Anjali sarcastically claps and tells Aastha the humiliation Niranjan had to face. They tell her that they had tried to call and Aastha tells that she wasn't aware that it was Niranjan's birthday.

At the end, Kalindi tells Aastha to go with Anjali. Aastha agrees, but Anjali tells Aastha to take an oath that she will never come back to her mother's place ever. Everyone is shocked and Anjali tells Aastha to choose either her husband's house or her family.
