Yeh Hai Mohabbatein January 1st Episode Written Update: While Raman and Mihir return from the TV Channel office, Mihir gets a call from their client. The client cancels contract with Raman’s company due to the negative impact of the interview in TV.

As Ishita comes back from the TV channel office she sits in their compound and cries. Ruhi comes and cools her down with her sweet words and cute gestures. A group of women’s right activists gather in front of Raman’s house. They cry for a mother’s right. They criticize Raman for his failure to take care of his child. They make a demand to send the child to her mother.

Shagun arrives. Ashok instructs her to look like a bereaved and suffering mother and make a drama there. Ruhi sticks to Ishita and doesn’t want to go with her mother. She becomes nervous in the tumultuous situation. Ishita cools her down and sends her to Shagun.

Shagun reprimands Raman. Shagun says Raman was so busy in taking revenge on Ashok and Shagun that he had no time to look after the child. She thanks Ishita for saving Ruhi’s life.

Raman bursts into anger as Shagun takes Ruhi with her. The police officer says that they cannot intervene into the matter. Throughout the episode Mihir controls Raman and tries to make him act with sense and diplomacy as a little mistake in behaviour can lead to a great disaster. Mihir says that they can fight in the court but it is impossible to fight with the women’s right activists.

Raman’s mother breaks down. She reminisces the moments how she has brought up the child day by day when her mother left her. Mr Valla tries to cool her down. Raman promises her mother that he will take Ruhi back to the family.
