Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai twist: TV buffs have been wondering who will play the new lead in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai ever since rumours about the show taking a generation leap surfaced on the internet. Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod's much-loved show is gearing up for a major twist as Abhimanyu's character might be bumped off.

WILL FAHMAAN KHAN PLAY LEAD IN YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI?

Speculations were rife that Fahmaan Khan and Tejasswi Prakash would replace Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod respectively as the new leads. However, Filmibeat debunked the conjecture over their entry in the hit serial.

"Rajan Shahi is known for giving opportunities to fresh faces like Hina Khan, Shivangi Joshi and Pranali Rathod. He must have chalked out a proper plan for Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, if it is taking a leap. While the production house would love to work with Tejasswi and Fahmaan, I think new faces will be auditioned for the lead roles. There's no doubt that Fahmaan Khan and Tejasswi Prakash are wonderful actors, who bring their own fan following but I think the chances of them featuring in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai are bleak," our khabri earlier told us.

While Fahmaan Khan has denied making an entry in Yeh Kya Kehlata Hai, Tejasswi Prakash has remained tight-lipped about the development.

WHO WILL REPLACE PRANALI RATHOD IN YRKKH?

Yesterday, there was a buzz that Mahima Makwana, Helly Shah, Jannat Zubair and Anushka Sen have been approached to replace Pranali Rathod as the new female lead. An industry source exclusively told Filmibeat, "Mahima Makwana, Jannat Zubair, Helly Shah, and Anushka Sen were spotted leaving DKPs office numerous times. As Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai leap is about to come, this made everyone wonder what exactly cooking inside."

It was said that Tejasswi Prakash's co-star Helly Shah might play the role of new lead in YRKKH. The two TV divas worked together in Swaragini which turned out to be a major hit among the audience.

"Helly Shah is not doing Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Yes, she was approached for the serial but she is busy with new projects and hence, won't be able to take up a longtime fiction show. She would suit the bill perfectly but the makers are now looking for a fresh face for YRKKH," our khabri told Filmibeat.
