Mangala is a thriller genre film, where Charmi is playing the title role. The story of the movie starts with Charmi as Ammulu, who’s made quite a name for herself as an actress. One day, a crazy fan of hers tries to meet her and in the process she misunderstands that he tried to molest her and she slaps him. Disheartened by this incident, he commits suicide. His father (Pradeep Rawat) tries his best to convince Ammulu to come and save his son who’s refusing to take medicine unless he meets his favourite actress and eventually he dies. Pradeep Rawat plans to take revenge for his son’s death by evoking a deadly spell of Black Magic which would mean a certain death for whom it’s being used. Charmi is the victim this time and the rest of the story is about how she tries to deal with the situation and whether she manages to save herself or not. Tulasi Ram, who has earlier directed Mantra movie and made it an all-time hit for Charmi is once again directing and also producing this movie along with Ch V Sarma. Mangala Critics Review

filmibeat.com
Charmy Kaur was going through a lean patch with no project on hand, after she started accepting woman-centric, heroine-oriented films. Her last hit was Mantra. After that she had neither films in hand nor hits to her credit.

Once again, she joined hands with Osho Tulasiram, who had produced and directed Mantra. Now, they are joined hands for Mangala. Charmy Kaur kept high hopes on the movie. The film is released after a prolonged gap and has poured water on her hope to get a much-needed break. Read on for Mangala review.

Story: Mangala aka Ammulu (Charmy Kaur) loses her parents in a fire accident and in a bid to save them, their servant also dies in the accident. So, she brings up her servant’s son Subbu (Subhash) like her brother. He too care her a lot.. Subbu wants to become a film hero, but while going for auditions, the producer sees her and ropes in her as a heroine.

Mangala turns a big star. Chinna (Vijay Sai) is a big fan of her and wants to gift a car to her. His father (Pradeep Rawat), who was a witch arranges him the money. While presenting the car, Mangala mistakes some other’s hand as of Chinna and slaps him. Unable to bear the humiliation, he attempts suicide. Though Chinna’s father pleads Mangala to visit his son and save his life, she could not do so because of her busy schedule. Chinna succumbs to the poison and the witch decided to take revenge against Mangala.

He imposes Sakochi devil on Mangala. As a result, she starts vomiting blood. However, the doctors could not diagnose the reason for the blood vomiting. Subbu, who believes in witchcraft seeks assistance from another witch and he identifies that someone imposed Sakochi devil on her and tells Subbu that only those who imposed the Sakochi could take it back and none others on the earth could save her. Hat happened next should be seen on-screen.
