Nithin made his debut with Jayam directed by Teja and it was a big hit. After that film he had a blockbuster under the direction of Rajamouli for Sye.
Unfortunately, after this film he had no notable hits to his credit. Even he fumbled when he joined hands with creative director Krishnavamsi for Sri Anjaneyam. After lots of failures, he came up again before the audiences with Seetaramula Kalyanam (Lankalo).
The title was quite interesting and raised many hopes in him that it would be a hit. Moreover, he had a glamorous and chirpy heroine like Hansika paired opposite him. The film had a very good opening in Hyderabad as he is the lone hero from the Telangana region and the T agitation found many supporters for this hero.
Chandu (Nithin) is a dare devil youth and is a fearless boy. Once he comes across a beautiful girl Nandu (Hansika), daughter of a dreaded factionalist Peddi Reddy (Suman). Soon he loses his heart.
He starts teasing her and wants to prove that he is sincerely loving Nandu. He tells Nandu that he could do anything for her. Then the latter tells him that he should not follow her until she calls him.
In order to grab her attention, he sends his father (Chandramohan) and mother (Pragati) to express his love and let her know that they too encourage him instead of trying to divert his attention from love.
