The audiences had high expectations on the film as K Viswanath had agreed to wield the megaphone after a long gap. It is agreed that Viswanath’s films has a perfect mix of dance and music, this film is no exception to it.
All the songs both romantic and regular songs are exceptionally picturised well. However, the audiences have to grope in dark as to what Viswanath wants to say through his film. No doubt, the film would give a big fillip to the heroine Manjari Phadnis, but the characterisation of the hero was totally underplayed.
Story: Indu (Manjari) is fond of music. Though her native place is Andhra Pradesh, her parents and other kin settled in Kerala. They do businesses like letting out house boats and treating patients with ayurvedic medicines.
She falls in love with Chakri, who sings folk songs very well. However, Indu’s parents did not allow Chakri to marry her as he was poor. So, Chakri leaves Kerala and returns after six months and marries Indu. After marriage the couple returns to Andhra. Who is Sarath Babu? what role he has played? what happend after their marriage? answers to these questions to should be seen on-screen.
