Vaikuntapali has the essence of proverb 'man proposes but god disposes’. It is about three friends, who have different goals in their life but none could achieve what they want. The concept is good but the director has failed to mould it effectively on the celluloid.
Story: The film begins with the robbery of an ATM. Michael (Ranadhir) and Chandu (Krishnudu) involve in it. The police find a purse at the spot, which contains the photograph of Chandu and a visiting card of Kranti (Ajay). In the next scene, Chandu appears on screen and reveals the flash back.
All three are good friends during college days and have different ideas and ambitions. While Kranti wanted to become a journalist and wants to do something for the society, Chandu says he would be happy if he could give his mother every joy in this world. Michael is a happy-go-lucky guy, who thinks that he could do anything and wants to become a millionaire overnight.
