Happy Birthday Chiru

Come tomorow Telugu mega superstar Chiranjeevi will be celebrating his Birthday. Born on August 22, 1955 in a remote village like Mogaltur in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, Konidela Siva Sankara Vara Prasad aka Chiranjeevi as he is known now. . The audiences fondly call him 'Mega Star'. After completing his B.Com degree, Vara Prasad wanted to get onto acting but his father was against sending him to Film Institute. However, Chiranjeevi went against him and chose his destiny in films. Had he heeded to his fathers wishes , the Telugu film industry would have lost a 'Mega Star' and also a good humanitarian who is serving thousands of people through various social causes.

He himself set a trend in films. He shook his legs and touched the hearts of lakhs of peoples hearts -Be it a break dance, rap, zap, what not anything, including classical dance. The speciality in him is that every movement in his physical structure could be grasped by a camera. Likewise in action sequences, he chose modern techniques like karate, kung fu, judo and other martial arts as its movements would turn strike a chord with the youth.

Outside the tinsel world also his services are remembered by one and all. Unlike others, he did not choose politics to serve the society. Instead he started Chiranjeevi Charitable Foundation, through which he promoted blood donation, eye donation with the help of his fans. He stood as a role model for his fans and all of them became his blood brothers as they came forward to follow his ideals. Now, he started promoting fight against the AIDS. All these social service activities brought Chiranjeevi nearer to the people. He is the top actor in the telugu film industry in the film industry . None of his contempraries had promoted social activities in such a broad manner.
