Chandramahesh is directing a film on his own banner called Purnachandra Movie Makers. It introduces Shantan, son of popular Tamil director and hero Bhagyaraja, as hero. The shooting of the film was launched yesterday in the presence of many prominent film personalities like VV Vinayak, Srihari and Kota Srinivasa Rao. Dr D Ramanaidu gave the clap, while VV Vinayak switched on the camera for the muhurat shot picturised under the honorary direction of Bhagyaraja.
At the event, Chandramahesh said, "I was looking for a good story and incidentally I met Bhagyaraja. He narrated the storyline in a few words. I liked it. However, he said that he would like to introduce his son as hero with that subject. But I appealed him to give me an opportunity to produce it in my own direction and I agreed to introduce Shantan as hero through a Telugu film. The specialty of this film is that Bhagyaraja is providing not only the story, but also the dialogues and screenplay. I feel that it was a boon to get a subject from a senior and experienced director like Bhagyaraja. The regular shooting of the film would begin from the end of this month and release the film by the end of September."
Bhagyaraja went deeper into the story of the film by saying, "This is a love story and at the same time there is a good message. We would like to explain that the elders should give freedom to their children regarding marriage and career and they should not force them to do something." hero Shatan is hopeful that sudience will make his film a success like his father's films. The other cast of the film includes Brahmanandam, Rajan P Dev, Sayaji Shinde, MS Narayana, LB Sriram, Raghubabu, Krishna Bhagawan, Subbaraju, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Kovai Sarala, Mumaith Khan, Hema, Apoorva, Sudha and Raja Ravindra. Chakri is providing music for Chandramahesh's film for the first time. Adusumilli Vijayakumar is the cinematographer, Gauthamraju is the editor and Horseman Babu is taking care of the stunts.
