<i>Shankardada</i> - Right Character, Right Time

Gandhism is universal. While in Shankar Dada MBBS, the hero is a son who wants to fulfil his father's ambition to be a doctor who can heal and solve others' problems, in Shankar Dada Zindabad, the hero appears as the one who would propagate Gandhism. Prabhudeva is known to be a poetic director. He not only choreographs a good song but also makes a film very interesting. But for the director, all the remaining team is the old one from Shankar Dada MBBS. Though Jayanth acted well in that film, I chose Prabhudeva for this film for a different reason. I realised that the audiences expect good fighting sequences and songs besides the usual entertainment.

He added, "I felt that Prabhudeva is the person who could deal with such things efficiently. Moreover, Gandhism needed to be explained in an entertaining way, so that it could be understood even by children. Although there will be fight scenes, they will not spoil the image of Gandhism. The character has come to me at the right time. I wish the film enhances my image further. In Shankar Dada MBBS, Pawan Kalyan appeared in a song. In this film, also he would appear in a scene. To be more precise, he is playing the role of Abhishek Bachchan in the original. Dialogues are by Paruchuri brothers, camera is by Chota K Naidu, editing is by Marthand K Venkatesh, and the direction is by Prabhudeva.
