Shreya's item number!!

Shreya, the new sensation of the south after her role in the blockbuster Shivaji, has accepted to perform an item number in a Nayanthara starrer film, Tulasi. This is going to be Shreya's fourth item number in Tollywood in the last one year and this time she has been paid a hefty sum equal to that of the film's heroine to perform the same!

It is worth remembering that Shreya's brand equity in Kollywood is currently very high. At present she is acting in 4 big films with leading heroes like Vijay, Ajith, Vikram and Ravi.

Venkatesh is playing the lead role in the film Tulasi, and Bhoopathy Srinivas is directing the film. The film is almost nearing its completion, and only a few song sequences require to be shot. The songs will be shot within a day or two at Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad. It might be recalled that Nayantara had appeared for a song sequence in Sivaji that featured Shreya and Rajnikanth in prominent roles.

Meanwhile, Shreya's producers in Tamil are both upset and shocked that she is doing an item number in Telugu. Only a few weeks ago, Shreya refused to do an item number in comedian Vadivelu's big project Indiralogathil Na.Azhgappan.
