Prasad Arts chief AV Subba Rao passed away

The chief of the prestigious Prasad Arts Pictures Anumolu Venkata Subba Rao died at a private hospital in Chennai on Thursday. He was 82. AV Subba Rao established Prasad Arts Pictures in the year 1952. The first movie made under this banner was Pempudu Koduku with Sivaji Ganesan and Savithri. AV Subbarao produced more than 35 films in Telugu, Tamil Kannada and Hindi movies. His favourite actor was Akkinenei with whom he made the maximum number of his films. Akkineni Nageswara Rao mourned the death of AVP. Akineni said that he owed his rise in the film industry to AVSR.
