Pulikesi in Telugu

Producer N.V.Prasad has bought the Telugu rights of Tamil blockbuster Imsai Arasan 23-m Pulikesi and dubbed the same for Tollywood viewers. Initially the producer wanted to remake the film in Telugu. But after seeing the extraordinary performance of Vadivelu in the role of Pulikesi, he found it hard to find a suitable person for his role in Telugu. Also, Vadivelu has his own mass in Andhra after the bumper hit of Chandramukhi. Finally the producer decided to release the dubbed version of the film with the title of Imsaraju 23vathu Pulikesi.

One can remember that the film was banned in Karnataka as they felt that the title insults the King dynasty of Pulikesi.
