Amidst all the rumours and speculation flying fast and thick, Chiranjeevi inaugurated his party's office yesterday without any fuss or media persons present. The party office, situated in the exclusive Jubilee Hills area, was inaugurated as per Hindu traditions, with pujas being performed. This very important event, which is a precursor to the launch that is expected sometime later this month, happened in the presence of Chiranjeevi's mother Anjana Devi, wife Surekha, brothers Nagendra Babu and Pawan Kalyan, son Ram Charan Teja, brother-in-law-cum-key adviser Allu Arvind and close aides Mitra and K.S.R. Murthy.

The office was declared open at 12.50 a.m., the muhurat specified by Chiranjeevi's astrologers. Though the media wasn"t invited, word spread and by the time, the rituals were completed and Chiranjeevi emerged with his family, a big crowd of his fans had gathered outside the office building. Chiranjeevi's fans were chanting slogans in praise of their idol and were also expressing their belief that he would be the next Chief Minister.

To accusations of secrecy by the media persons who had gathered there, Chiranjeevi stated that the inauguration was conducted according to Hindu tradition and rituals and there was no secrecy intended.

Chiranjeevi is also set to perform the two-day ritual of 'Chandi Homam' at Goddess Kamakshi's temple, Kancheepuram, on August 21 and 22. According to Hindu tradition, performing the 'Chandi Homam' will mean the person who performs it will attain great wealth and political power.
