Chitrapuri Colony: Dasari's life ambition

Former Union minister and senior director Dasari Narayana Rao said, "The Chitrapuri Colony' which is under construction for the welfare of the workers of the film industry was my life ambition. Once the film workers settle in their houses, I will get complete satisfaction." Dasari inaugurated the third floor of Andhra Pradesh Cine Production Executives Union office in Hyderabad along with senior producer Dr D Ramanaidu, senior artiste and producer Mohanbabu recently. The floor was named after Dasari Narayana Rao. Speaking on the occasion, he said, "Myself and Prabhakara Reddy have striven hard for the film workers who are going to settle in Hyderabad. The Congress government led by Vijayabhaskara Reddy allocated 67 acre land some one-and-a-half decade ago. Very recently, Dr YSR's government gave a rebate of Rs 7.5 cr in the amount to be paid to Huda. So, I wish the construction would be complete at Chitrapuri Colony at least in the next one and a half year." Responding to the statement by Dasari Narayana Rao, Dr D Ramanaidu announced Rs 10 lakh donation for the film industry workers.
