Former Union Minster Dasari Narayana Rao said that the Government Order (G. O.) permitting theatre owners to hike ticket rates of big hero films by up to 75 percent was unfair and and hurt small producers.

He asked Chief Minster Y.S. Rajashekar Reddy to reconsider the issue and revoke the G.O. Y.S. Rajashekar Reddy promised to constitute a committee to look into the issue. The producers addressed a media conference at the Press Club in Hyderabad on May 14th. Tammareddy Bharadwaja, R. Narayanamurthy, Devi Vara Prasad and others spoke on the occasion.

The majority felt that the small producers are hurt a lot as only around 20 big producers benefit while the remaining 80% (small producers) suffer.
