Producer Teja is also writing the story, screenplay and dialogues and directing Kayka, also spelled Keka. This has already garnered plenty of attention as the publicity stills don't show the faces of the lead pair very clearly, lending an element of mystery. Teja has also chosen not to reveal the names of the lead pair, who are both debutants.
The movie's stills show the lead pair in some of the most romantic poses against even more scenic backdrops. Though Teja held a press meet to release the promotional stills, he refused to divulge the names of the hero and heroine, whom no one in the audience recognized. Meanwhile, trailers of the movie have aroused the interest of TV viewers and the curiosity factor is being fanned to fever pitch by Teja's refusal to reveal the star pair's names.
The only confirmed fact is that the cinematography is by celebrated camera man P.C. Sreeram, who has captured all the scenes with his magical touch. Teja is reported to be thrilled with the rushes of the film so far. Insiders say that the post-production is going on simultaneously, thereby cutting down on the release time and other overhead costs.
Teja is known to take new faces; Uday Kiran, Nitin, Navdeep and Salim Panda all owe their first films to him. But, this time, he seems to have set a new standard - star cast sans names.
