The muhurat was held at Annapurna Studios on December 2nd. Kalyan Palla's father, Palla Janardhana Rao, sounded the clap, while Senthil switched on the camera. Suman Pathuri and Gollapudi together directed the first shot.
While talking to the gathered media, Raja said that he knew Suman from his (Suman's) assistant director days when he worked on the sets of Vennela. "He is a youngster with immense talent," said the actor, vouching for the young Kalyan. "It will be an entertaining film which revolves around seven important characters who are fresh out of college."
Producer Kalyan Palla said, "I've distributed and exhibited Telugu films in the USA, the last of which was Gamyam. My dream was to produce films and since I knew Suman for six years, this was just a natural progression. Coming to this film, each and every character is important because of which we were in the casting process for the past four months. My aim is to produce good films."
Sumant Pathuri thanked Raj and D.K. for giving him the story and said that he knew the dialogue writer, Nagaraju Gandham even before Gamyam happened.
Impressed with the director, Manjari Phadnis said, "Suman gave me a six hour narration of the script. He went into minute detailing so much so I loved the script instantly. I saw Gamyam seven times and I am in awe of Nagaraju Gandham."
Richa Pallod said that her character is an extension of her role in Nuvve Kaavali.
Gollapudi Maruthi Rao, who knew Suman's father, is doing a cameo in the movie and vouched for the director's abilities.
Kishore, who has become famous as Vennala Kishore due the character he played in the movie, revealed that his real name is Kishore Bokkala. He thanked Deva Katta and Suman Pathuri.
Singer-turned-actor Sandeep is acting in this film after a gap of 3 years. His last film as an actor was Premayanamaha.
