The
second
film
of
Ram
Charan,
son
of
Mega
Star
Chiranjeevi,
directed
by
SS
Rajamouli
and
produced
by
Allu
Aravind
under
the
banner
of
Gita
Arts,
was
formally
launched
at
Film
Nagar
Cultural
Centre
in
Hyderabad.
Producer
DVS
Raju
gave
the
clap,
while
D
Ramanaidu
switched
on
the
camera
for
the
muhurat
shot
picturised
on
gods'
portraits
under
the
honorary
direction
of
Chiranjeevi.
Earlier
puja
activities
were
performed
and
those
who
participated
in
the
function
include
Pawan
Kalyan,
Nagababu
and
Allu
Arjun.
Speaking
on
the
occasion,
Allu
Aravind
said,
"When
we
approached
Rajamouli
to
direct
Ram
Charan,
he
agreed
to
direct
his
second
film.
All
of
us
are
impressed
with
the
story
brought
by
him.
Earlier,
we
had
doubts
whether
Kajal
would
suit
the
heroine's
character
or
not.
But
after
watching
the
photo
shoot
by
Rajamouli,
we
convinced
that
she
is
okay
in
all
aspects."
Rajamouli
said,
"This
is
an
action-packed
love
story.
I
was
able
to
impress
Allu
Aravind,
Chiranjeevi
and
Ram
Charan
with
my
story.
It
is
the
story
of
a
couple,
who
lost
their
lives
some
400
years
ago
and
they
take
a
rebirth
to
win
the
love
game
in
this
era.
We
will
begin
the
regular
shooting
at
Rajasthan
from
March
15."
"I
have
decided
to
reveal
the
storyline
even
before
the
launch
of
regular
shoot
as
the
gossip-mongers
are
spreading
unnecessary
rumours.
There
are
several
gossips
in
the
film
industry
and
media
circles
that
we
are
going
to
put
the
title
as
Dheerudu
but
there
is
no
truth
in
it.
Likewise,
there
were
gossips
that
popular
heroine
of
yesteryears
Sridevi
is
playing
a
role
in
this
film
and
that
was
also
false.
There
are
absolutely
no
similarities
to
Om
Shanti
Om
too.
I
watched
Ram
Charan's
debut
film
Chirutha
and
keenly
observed
his
body
language
and
prepared
a
tailor-made
subject.
It
is
like
a
challenge
for
me" he
added.
Ram
Charan
said,
"I
liked
the
story
by
Rajamouli
and
I
have
a
lot
of
scope
to
prove
my
talents
in
this
film.
I
am
against
fixing
in
a
particular
image
and
want
to
do
different
roles."
Kaajal
said,
"I
am
very
happy
for
getting
an
opportunity
to
work
under
a
big
banner
like
Gita
Arts
and
also
it
was
my
long
time
wish
to
work
under
Rajamouli's
direction."
