Sashank, who is known for his electrifying performances in Sye and Victory, was launched with Aithe, where he portrayed a gambler. In Anukokunda Oka Roju, he took the cake with his realistic portrayal as a cab driver.
Right now, he's acting in a film produced under Meschek Movies banner with Arya Menon (Chak De India fame), another beauty from God's Own Country as the heroine. Produced by John Baptist and directed by Srinivas Bhalla, the film's mahurat had been at Annapurna Studio with S.S. Rajamouli giving the clap for the first shot. Tentatively titled Varadhi (meaning bridge), the film is almost complete now. Mohan Sitara is composing the music.
One of the few upcoming young actors with no family of stars to support him, Sashank had to work his way up the ladder to become one of the youngest awardees of the Nandi award. Sashank will also be working with S.V. Krishana Reddy and Ravi C. Kumar on some upcoming projects.
