Suhani waiting for Krushi release

Suhani Kalita, the child actress who morphed into a sexy young thing, was introduced again in Sawal, with delicious results at the box-office. She performed her role as Keerthana with the right amount of restrained glamour, establishing herself as a talent to reckon with. As a child artiste, Suhani acted in more than 40 films, the most popular being Manasantha Nuvve. She also debuted in Hindi with Kuch Tum Kaho Kuch Hum Kahein.

She"s now waiting for her second movie Krushi to be released. At this stage in her career, when any wrong move or rumour can damage her hard-won reputation as a talented actress and forever relegate her to second heroine roles, some ugly gossip is circulating. These ugly rumours are that Suhani, not yet out of her teens, has acquired a taste for alcohol. In an industry that has only now loosened up enough to accept married heroines and that too only opposite a comedian-turned-hero, even a whisper of an actress" predilection for liquor could sound the death-knell for a prosperous career.

Now that"s she"s set foot on the first rung of the filmi ladder, even the normal doings that an ordinary teenager indulges in will be blown out of proportion. It would be wiseer for Suhani to curtail her shenanigans if any and even if they"re innocent.
