Suhasini enthusiastic about Andhra

Suhasini Mani Ratnam, who was an icon of woman-centric roles during the 80's and early 90's, has also dabbled in direction with movies like Indira. Recently, she was in the news as there were some rumours that she was to head the women's wing of Chiranjeevi's party, Praja Rajyam. But she was quick to rubbish such rumours and said she had no grandiose plans to enter politics of any sort.

Now, having signed a multi-crorre movie deal with Anil Ambani"s Reliance Entertainment teamed with her husband, the reputed director Mani Ratnam, she is also in the limelight with gossip about her re-entry into direction.

Yet again, Suhasini shot down wild speculations, saying that she enjoying TV anchoring and doing meaningful character roles. Talking to the media in a casual tÊte-À-tÊte, she said, "Though I did programmes in Tamil, I was never as enthusiastic as I am with Telugu people. During my entire career, I came to Andhra Pradesh only on shootings and I never learnt anything about its topography and its people. Now, I am thorough with these details. I studied a lot about AP."

Suhasini is anchoring a Telugu interactive chat-show on a Telugu channel which is a great hit among audiences.
