Trisha,
the
No.
1
heroine
in
Telugu
film
industry,
doesn't
seem
to
have
even
one
film
in
hand
in
Telugu,
excepting
Nagarjuna's
King
being
directed
by
Srinu
Vaitla
and
produced
by
D.
Sivaprasada
Reddy
under
Kamakshi
Kala
Movies
banner.
This
is
her
first
film
with
Nag
and
Vaitla.
Her
first
flick
Varsham
was
a
major
hit,
after
which
she
rose
fast
to
the
top
of
the
heap
in
South
Indian
filmdom.
She's
continued
to
give
hits
like
Nuvvostanante
Nenoddantana,
Athadu,
Aadavari
Matalaku
Ardhale
Veerule,
Krishna
and
Bujjigadu.
These
hits
strengthened
her
position
as
the
No.
1
heroine
in
Telugu.
Despite
the
onslaught
of
glamour
dolls
like
Nayanatara,
Ileana
and
Anushka,
she
retained
the
crown
but
no
one
seems
to
know
the
reason
for
her
absence
of
late
on
the
Telugu
silver
screen.
When
asked,
she
replied,
"I
got
an
opportunity
to
play
opposite
Kamal
Hassan
in
Marmayogi.
As
I
was
forced
to
give
bulk
dates
for
that
film,
I
had
no
option
but
to
keep
myself
ready
and
not
accept
any
other
projects."
She
continues
to
rule
the
roost
even
in
brand
ambassadorship
as
she
is
getting
opportunities
to
represent
several
consumer
products
that
include
Scooty
Pep
Plus,
Cadbury,
Fanta
and
so
on.
