Speaking on the occasion, director Puri Jagannath says, “Basically the film is an action entertainer. We are planning to start the regular shooting immediately and continue it. The shooting would be completed in a single schedule by the end of March. We are planning to release the film on April 28. It is the story of an encounter specialist and is being made with a powerful story. Gopichand would be presented in a different angle."
Gopichand says, “The story narrated by Jagan is very impressive. Definitely the film would improve my present range as hero." Producer Bellamkonda Suresh says, “We are very happy to produce a film in the combination of Jagan and Gopichand. We chose encounter specialist Daya Nayak as an inspiration and prepared a story with commercial elements and local problems to suit the present conditions."
Nazar, Roja, Pasupati, Shawar Ali, MS Narayana, Ali, Jeeva, Aryaman and others are in the cast. Camera is by Shyam K Naidu, editing is by Marthand K Venkatesh, art is by Chinna, action is by Vijay, while music is by Chakri.
Shooting of Golimaar, directed by Puri Jagannath and produced by Bellamkonda Suresh on the banner of Sri Sai Ganesh Productions with Gopichand and Priyamani in the lead was formally launched at Hyderabad recently. Presenter of the film Bellamkonda Padmavathi gave the clap, while Puri Jagannath"s wife Lavanya switched on the camera for the muhurat shot picturised on Gopichand.
