Rakta Charitra based on real life incidents

The regular shooting of Rakta Charitra directed by Ram Gopal Varma, based on the real life story of Paritala Ravi is in progress in Hyderabad.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, “The story is about the real people and real life incidents. However, the roles are being portrayed by film artistes and the film would have cinematic incidents. Vivek Oberai and Surya are playing the lead roles. A role which would be similar to NTR is being portrayed by his ardent fan, Dr Mohanbabu. In fact, 'Rakta Charitra" is the unending life history of some leaders. Most part of the shooting would be held in Hyderabad and Anantapur. I have met not only the followers of Paritala Ravi but also his enemies. As I felt that the length of the story would be very long, I have separated it into two parts. And both the films would be released within a gap of 10 to 15 days. We are making the film in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages."

The film is being produced by Madhu Mantena and Sheetal Vinod Talwar on the banner of A Synergy Productions.
