The Telugu rights of the much-hyped Tamil movie Endhiran has been sold for whooping Rs.27 Crore. The Telugu version titled Robo has been acquired by the renowned producer Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao.

Rao will be releasing the mega budget Robo in Andhra Pradesh under the banner Tirumala Tirupati Venkateswara Films. Producer says, “I have a strong faith in Shankar and his capability of creating magic with the celluloid. Moreover, Robo is a product of Kalanidhi Maran with Rajini and Aishwarya in the lead. So far, all the movies of Shankar have been blockbusters so I was prompted to buy the rights for the Telugu audience".

The distributor of Robo insisted that the movie will release throughout Andhra Pradesh in about 600 theatres. Rao added, “We are expecting to fetch the investment in the first week itself. However, we are cautious about piracy, which would increase after the movie release".
