N Shankar recording songs for his next

Songs recording of a film to be produced and directed by N Shankar on the banner of Mahalakshmi Arts was launched recently at Sana Yadi Reddy Theatre in Hyderabad. A sloka rendered by music director Chakri was recorded first and then a revolutionary song penned by Ande Sri was recorded.

Speaking on the occasion, Shankar says, "Our main aim is to bring out a film with all new faces. We will select talented artistes irrespective of the region and conduct audition test. Though the film has Telangana movement in its backdrop, we are trying to bring out a film which we could proudly say that it is our movie."

"We are planning to launch the regular shooting by the end of May and take up shooting in Hyderabad, Ramappa temple and on the banks of River Godavari. I thank Chandramahesh for all the help he extended to me in film production."

Chakri says, "I am very happy to work for a film with Telangana movement in its backdrop. There are a total of eight songs in the movie. It is like a challenge to me and I have to research to score tunes for this flick." Lyricist Goreti Venkanna says, "It is an arrow against those who were responsible for the backwardness of Telangana region."
