Villain gives Mani Ratnam a sigh of relief

The movie Villain, which is the dubbed version of Tamil Raavanan, has given Mani Ratnam, a sigh of relief after it got a good opening in Andhra. Its original versions Raavan and Raavanan attracted poor reviews from the critics and even audience in Bollywood and Tamil have given thumbs down for the film. But in Andhra, the film has got good response from the audience. As the result of it, the movie has already grossed Rs. 40 million in first few days.

Just before the film release, a few sections of people raised the issue that why Mani Ratnam hasn't cast a Telugu actor in the film, when he has chosen Vikram from Kollywood and Prithiviraj from Mollywood in the film. Trade analyst even went on to predict that the movie may fail in Andhra for this reason. But when the review of the film was out the results were opposite.

The performances of Vikram and Aishwarya Bachchan, cinematography of Santosh Sivan have created magic in Tollywood.
