Akhil Akkineni, son of Nagarjuna, has been included in the Telugu Warriors for the inaugural Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) T20. Vishnu Manchu, the owner of the team, has confirmed the news and has said that his inclusion has strengthened the team.

Vishu Manchu has said that he is a good cricket player and we have witnessed it in the last year's T20 Tollywood Trophy. He is an asset to the team and rubbished the rumours that claimed he is not an actor. He added that the son of Nagarjuna had acted as a child artist in Sisindri.

The celebrity team has already started its preparation for the CCL T20, which will take-off on June 4 in Bengaluru. Telugu Warriors' captain Venkatesh, and his teammates Siddharth, Akhil, Tarun, Srikanth, Balakrishnan, Vishnu and Aadarsh are undergoing rigorous training under the guidance of coach Vanka Pratap in a resort in Hyderabad.

Telugu Warriors will clash against Chennai Rhinos, which is lead by Surya, this Saturday at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. The Tollywood team has almost been finalized but Vishnu Manchu is yet to announce the complete squad.
