Akkineni Annapurna, wife of ANR passes away

Akkineni Annapurna, wife of Tollywood veteran Akkineni Nageswara Rao and mother of superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna passed away this morning (December 28, 2011). Smt Annapoorna was 79 and has been ill for quite some time now.

Akkineni Annapoorna, who died early this morning was seriously ill and had been receiving treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad.

Akkineni Annapoorna has produced many hit films. Her husband, Nageswara Rao constructed the famous Annapurna Studios studio in Hyderabad after her.

Akkineni Annapoorna was born in Dendhuluru village in West Godavari District. She Married Akkineni Nageswara Rao on February 19th, 1949. She is survived by her three daughters and two sons.

Akkineni Nagarjuna who is presently in Bangalore is on his way back to Hyderabad.
