Puri Jagannath, who made a decent debut in Bollywood with his recent film Bbuddha Hoga Tera Baap is now planning to start his next venture and has opted for the remake of his 2003 movie Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi. He felt that Asin Thottumkal has created a niche for herself in the Bollywood and casting her will be a good idea. Hence, he approached the Ghajini star, claims a report.
The 25-year-old actress was reportedly happy after she heard about Puri Jagganath's plans to remake Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi in Bollywood. The actress, who bagged a Filmfare Award for her role in the Telugu film, was delighted, when she was offered the same role in Hindi and immediately she gave her verbal consent to act in the film.
Puri Jagganath is often credited for introducing Asin Thottumkal in Telugu. He had given her back-to-back hits in the form of Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi and Shivamani 9848022338.
