Badrinath
has
managed
to
rock
at
the
box-office
(BO)
even
after
getting
average
response
from
the
critics.
The
movie,
which
was
released
on
June
10,
has
garnered
Rs.16.5
crores
in
the
first
weekend
alone.
Allu
Arjun's
Badrinath
received
one
of
the
biggest
openings
at
BO
in
the
recent
past.
Though
critics
rated
it
as
an
average
film,
the
actor's
fans
has
liked
the
movie
and
especially
the
hair-raising
action
scenes
have
impressed
the
cine
goers.
Allu
Aravind
has
stated
that
despite
poor
reviews,
the
movie
is
running
full
houses
in
most
of
the
theatres
in
Andhra
Pradesh.
The
producer
cum
distributor
also
claims
that
Badrinath
earned
16.5
crores
in
first
three
days
after
its
release.
In
Andhra
Pradesh
alone
it
has
collected
14
plus
crores,
whereas
in
Karnataka
and
Kerala,
where
Allu
Arjun
has
a
huge
fan
following,
it
has
raked
in
over
2
crores.
The
makers
of
the
film
have
admitted
that
the
audiences'
expectation
about
the
film
being
a
mythological
film
played
the
spoilsport.
Fans
were
expecting
another
Magadheera
kind
of
film,
claims
Allu
Aravind.
However,
Badrinath,
which
is
made
with
a
budget
of
40
crores,
is
carrying
a
good
word
of
mouth,
say
traders.
