Chiranjeevi's daughter files dowry case against hubby

Megstar Chiranjeevi's daughter Srija has filed a dowry harassment case against her hubby Sirish Bharadwaj and mother-in-law at the Central Crime Station (CCS) on Monday. In her complaint, she has mentioned that they are physically and mentally tortured her for dowry.

Yesterday, cops have registered a case against them under section 498-A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty. ) of the IPC. Reports say that he has allegedly demanded 1.5 crore, even after she paid crores of rupees.

It may be recalled that Srija eloped with Sirish Bharadwaj and married against her parents' wishes in 2007. After the marriage, they told media that they their lives were in threat from her father and asked for police protection. Later, they settled in Delhi and has a two-year-old daughter.
