Ileana D'Cruz, who never compromises on her remuneration, reportedly discounted her salary for her debut Bollywood film Barfee. The highest paid South actress reportedly took less than half of her pay check for her first Hindi film.
Rumours have it that Ileana D'Cruz was paid Rs. 50 lakhs to act in Bollywood movie Barfee, which features Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in the leads. The actress, who crossed the 1 crore mark in Telugu movie Shakti and Tamil movie Nanban, signed the film despite offering her a less remuneration.
The Goan beauty happily accepted the film, as she wants to create a niche for herself in the Bollywood. Thus, she gave the nod to play one of the female leads in the film for a reduced price, claims a report.
The actress gets Rs.1.25 and some where around she receives additional 25 to 40 lakhs for other expenses per film in the regional film industry. Even after her recent films were bombed at the box-office, Ileana is showered with offers.
