Now, IT raids Tollywood actress' residence

After coming down heavily on Bollywood's hottest divas Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra, Income Tax (IT) officials have reportedly raided a Telugu actress' residence in Hyderabad. But the name of the actress is yet to be revealed.

According to sources, they raided an actress' house yesterday. They say that she has misused certain clauses of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (under Section 80 RR) to avail benefits. As per the act, an artiste will get tax exemptions if he/she showcases Indian culture abroad.

It may be recalled that the Income Tax officials raided the houses of Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra on January 24 on suspicion of tax evasion. They raided about 12 premises belonging to the actresses and sealed their lockers and seized their documents. The raids had earlier exposed that Katrina has an unaccounted wealth of around Rs. 6 crore in the form of jewellery, property and business ventures.
