Katrina Kaif in race for Arundhati remake!

Telugu blockbuster Arundhati had given a new image to Anushka Shetty. The Mangalore lass, who was seen only in glamorous roles till then, impressed the audience with her entirely new avatar of queen Jejjamma. Now, Katrina Kaif is in the race for the same character in the Hindi version of the movie to enact the same character.

Reports say that Gemini Film Circuit, which has acquired the rights, is considering Katrina Kaif for the role famous made by Anushka Shetty. Along with her, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee's names are also doing rounds for the character.

It is said that Katrina Kaif, who has not signed any film other than Ek Tha Tiger, seems to be the favourite choice by the movie bosses. However, other details about the forthcoming Bollywood movie are still under wraps.

Anushka Shetty and Sonu Sood starrer Arundhati was directed by Kodi Ramakrishna. The movie was produced by M Shyam Prasad Reddy on the banner Mallemala Entertainments.
