Naga Chaitanya's Bejawada, which is releasing this Friday (December 2), has been hit by censor trouble. The movie made on a controversial issue is giving tough times for the makers of the forthcoming Telugu film.

According to sources, the officials of the Regional Censor Board has suggested as many as 20 cuts, which has disappointed the movie bosses. It is said that the sensitive issues and the scenes, which could face public wrath, have been advised to chop from Bejawada. However, the movie has now landed before the revision committee for further review.

Ram Gopal Varma's Bejawada, which was earlier titled Bejawada Rowdilu, is allegedly made on the real life incidents that occurred in Vijayawada, which was formerly known as Bejawada. It is the tale of the rivalry of ex-politicians named Devineni Nehru and late legislator Vangaveeti Ranga of the coastal city.

Bejawada is directed by Vivek Krishna and it stars Naga Chaitanya and Amala Paul in the lead roles.
