Cops to grill Nagarjuna over abuse case

Nagarjuna, who is in a middle of a controversy over an abuse case, will be probed by Hyderabad police soon. The cops will quiz following a complaint filed by a freelance journalist.

Reports say that Nagarjuna has been booked under under sections 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (insulting the modesty of a woman) of Indian Penal Code on Saturday at Jubliee Hills police station. Freelancer and a member of Regional Censor Board, Sunitha has filed the case against him claiming that the actor abused her verbally and threatened to kill her at Annapoorna Studio on September 29, when she met him during the filming of Damarukam.

It is reported that Nagarjuna, who is a media friendly person and maintains a good image in public, get into the brawl for one of her articles against him. Her negative feedbacks for his earlier films irked the actor. Hence, he lost his temper and abused her, claim reports.

Sources say that Nagarjuna's aides are reportedly trying to make peace with her and asking her to withdraw the complaint.
