Navneet Kaur to marry MLA in mass marriage

Actress Navneet Kaur is all set marry Maharashtra-based-politician Ravi Rana in a mass marriage on February 2, 2011. They will tie the knot along with 2,834 couples, which is organized by her beau himself.

According to reports, the multi-community marriage will enter the Guinness and Limca Record Books as it will be the biggest ever mass marriage performed in the history. 900 Buddhist, 600 tribal, 350 Muslim, 150 physically handicapped and the couples from the other communities are entering wedlock on the day. The wedding will be solemnized by Yoga guru Ram Dev Baba.

The 29-year-old Ravi Rana is an independent MLA from Badnera constituency, Amravati district. He defeated NCP candidate Sulbha khodke in 2009 assembly elections.

However, Ravi Rana has requested financial assistance from the state government as the total expense of the event is expected to cross over five crores. Many noted names from political fraternity and Bollywood bigwigs are attending the marriage.
