It
seems
time
has
come
for
Ram
Charan
Teja
to
expand
his
territory.
The
son
of
Megastar
Chiranjeevi,
who
has
been
thinking
to
enter
the
Bollywood,
has
reportedly
found
a
tailor-made
project
to
suit
his
image.
Well,
the
actor
is
all
set
to
storm
the
B-town
with
the
remake
of
Amitabh
Bachchan
starrer
yesteryear
blockbuster
Zanjeer.
The
Magadheera
star,
who
was
supposed
to
make
his
Bollywood
debut
in
Faruk
Kabir's
Welcome
To
The
Jungle
before
shelving
the
movie,
is
keen
to
star
in
the
remake
of
Zanjeer.
The
actor
through
his
close
aides
recently
approached
the
sons
of
late
director
Prakash
Mehra,
as
the
rights
of
the
film
are
with
his
family.
Ram
Charan
Teja
will
announce
his
plans
in
two
months,
says
a
report.
It
is
said
that
Ram
Charan
Teja
wants
to
make
his
debut
as
an
action
hero
rather
than
lover
boy
characters.
Hence,
the
actor
has
chosen
Zanjeer.
Sources
further
add
that
if
things
fall
into
place,
the
Chiruta
actor
will
be
seen
in
the
role
of
a
honest
cop
named
Vijay,
which
was
played
by
Amitabh
Bachchan
in
the
yesteryear
film.
The
story
of
the
film
is
about
a
police
officer,
who
suffers
a
six-month
jail
sentence
on
false
charges,
seeking
revenge
against
his
enemies.
Meanwhile,
office-bearers
of
Prakash
Mehra
have
claimed
that
many
top
filmmakers
have
approached
them
for
the
remake
rights
of
Zanjeer
but
refused
to
reveal
their
names.
They
will
announce
once
they
sell
the
rights
of
the
Bollywood
film.
