Ram Charan Teja turning Khaidi

By Ramchander

Chiranjeevi's 1983s blockbuster Khaidi is in the news again. The movie, which went on to change the Megastar's career, will be reportedly remade with Chiru's son Ram Charan Teja in the lead role.

The remake of the Khaidi has been doing rounds for two years now. In 2009, after the success of Magadheera, speculations were rife that Ram Charan Teja would star in the film. However, it did not see the light of day. Now, K Achi Reddy has registered the title on the banner Max India Productions.

It is said that he has approached the Chiruta star to play the role, which was played by his father in the original. The movie is expected to hit the floors by this year end.

Khaidi is a revenge drama, which was inspired by Hollywood movie First Blood. The movie featured Chiranjeevi, Madhavi and Sumalatha in the lead roles. It was written by Paruchuri Brothers and directed by A Kodandarami Reddy.
