Like
his
earlier
movies,
Ram
Gopal
Varma's
latest
movie
Bejawada
has
become
a
controversial
movie.
From
the
day
it
was
announced,
the
movie
has
been
hitting
the
headlines
for
all
the
wrong
reasons.
Be
it
the
title,
which
was
earlier
titled
Bejawada
Rowdilu,
or
the
content
of
the
film
that
is
based
on
the
real
life
story
of
ex-politicians
of
Vijayawada,
the
Telugu
movie
has
garnered
strong
reactions
from
various
groups.
The
followers
of
Vangaveeti
Mohan
Ranga,
the
slain
politician,
have
warned
Ram
Gopal
Varma
that
they
would
not
let
the
screening
of
the
film
if
it
shows
their
leader
in
a
poor
light.
They
would
not
tolerate
any
attempt
to
defame
the
ex-politician.
Bejawada
is
based
on
the
real
life
conflicts
between
two
politicians
Devineni
Nehru
and
late
legislator
Vangaveeti
Ranga.
Their
rivalry
took
an
ugly
turn
when
they
lost
their
close
members
of
the
family
in
the
bitter
battle
for
supremacy.
As
a
result,
Devineni
Nehru's
two
siblings
were
assassinated
and
Vangaveeti
Mohan
Ranga
and
his
brother
were
killed
in
1980s.
However,
forthcoming
Bejawada
is
directed
by
Vivek
Krishna
and
it
stars
Naga
Chaitanya
and
Amala
Paul
