After Pokkiri, Ready, Vikramarkudu and Kick, now Raghava Lawrence's Kanchana is all set to be remade in Bollywood. The movie, which has emerged as a surprise winner at the Box Office, will star Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles.
Raghava Lawrence, who has organized a special screening of Kanchana in Mumbai for Salman Khan and Aamir Khan this weekend, claims that the Dabangg star has given the nod to act in the film. He also adds that he has approached Sanjay Dutt for the role of a transgender, which was played by Sarath Kumar in the original. But the Khal Nayak actor is yet to approve the project.
The multifaceted director further adds that the Hindi version of the project might be delayed, as he is busy with Prabhas and Anushka Shetty starrer untitled film. After completing this film, he will take up Kanchana remake, concludes Raghava Lawrence.
Despite getting poor reviews, Kanchana has become one of the hits of 2011. The story of the film is about an Achluophobic patient, who accidentally lands in a devil's trap. The movie starred Raghava Lawrence, Sarath Kumar and Lakshmi Rai in the lead roles.
