The
confusion
over
the
female
lead
of
forthcoming
Telugu
movie
Gabbar
Singh
has
come
to
an
end.
A
few
days
ago,
there
were
widespread
reports
that
Shruti
Hassan
has
been
replaced
by
Ileana
D'Cruz.
However,
director
Harish
Shankar
has
lambasted
the
rumours
and
has
claimed
that
the
Oh
My
Friend
actress
is
still
part
of
the
movie.
Director
Harish
Shankar
took
to
Twitter
to
clarify
the
news.
He
wrote,
“Shruti
Hassan
is
the
Heroine
of
Gabbar
Singh.
Guys
pls
ignore
all
rumors,
She
is
super
excited
about
her
character
in
GS.
She
joins
the
shoot
from
Dec." He
further
said,
“Don't
trust
any
news
regarding
GS
until
unless
it's
given
by
me
nd
my
producer
Ganesh
garu."
Meanwhile,
Shruti
Hassan
has
also
clarified
that
she
is
playing
the
female
lead
role
in
Gabbar
Singh,
a
remake
of
Bollywood
movie
Dabangg.
The
actress
said
that
she
is
not
sure
from
where
these
news
are
coming
up.
The
25
year
old
is
happy
to
work
in
the
forthcoming
Telugu
project
and
the
Tollywood
audience
has
started
liking
more
after
watching
her
in
the
recently
released
movie
7th
Sense.
Earlier,
it
was
reported
that
the
makers
of
Gabbar
Singh
were
worried
about
Shruti
Hassan's
career
going
downhill
with
every
flop
movies
to
her
credits.
Producer
Ganesh,
who
is
making
the
forthcoming
Telugu
movie
with
the
budget
of
Rs
40
crore,
reportedly
felt
that
the
movie
requires
an
A-list
actress
to
play
the
female
lead
role.
Hence,
he
dropped
Shruti
from
the
upcoming
movie
and
roped
in
Ileana.
